1.1 THE ONCE AND FUTURE DOUGHNUT
The transcript and video of last week's Coffee & DoughNets --
"A Great Time To Start A Business" -- are now available. If you had
to miss the event for ice or otherwise, check them out both for the
entrepreneurial wisdom of our panelists -- George Pappas,
President and CEO of Plesk; Amir Hudda, CEO of Brickstream;
Rick Steele, co-founder and CEO of NuRide; and our own Mario
Morino -- and also to learn about exciting future plans for many of
Netpreneur's services, including Netpreneur News, Calendar, the
discussion groups and more. It was the final Coffee & DoughNets
from Netpreneur, but will it be the final C&D for all time? Maybe
not.

2.1 WIRELESS MOBILE FOR EMERGENCY WORKERS
(Silver Spring, MD) OPTIMUS debuted Michaels Mobile Light, a version
of its Michaels Fire and EMS, a wireless communications system for
highly mobile emergency personnel, such as those on bicycles,
horseback, or foot. It provides immediate, uniform access to
assessment, triage and reporting data needed to mitigate and respond
to emergency situations and helps to break down communication and
coordination barriers. Using a ruggedized pocket PC, first
responders can collect patient and field data to share immediately
with headquarters and other emergency staff. In addition, the system
automatically senses and connects to other Michaels systems in near
proximity.
